King William IV, Little London - Friday 23rd August 2024
We’ve been coming to this lovely country pub for years, so were keen to revisit once it re-opened after a change of ownership.
Mrs K & I had a good lunch here a week earlier, so this time we brought Mrs K Snr.
Good news, they’ve done a cracking job, good food and wine (the Cave de Lugny Chardonnay Mâcon-Villages 2022 - not oaked ovvy - was lovely) and charming staff…what a simple formula!
Also very dog friendly in the bar area and garden.
Just one minor jarring note, we arrived a few minutes late for our reservation, having spoken to someone at the pub in the car on the way, on arrival we were told that as we were 15 minutes late (it was more like 10), we could only have our table for an hour and a half as they’d booked it to someone else…disappointing, although to be fair we weren’t booted off in the end.
Oh and it’s ‘Espresso’! 🙄
(and we don’t like paper napkins!)
Overall however, a definite thumbs up 👍🏻
